About Michael Smith
Attorney Michael Smith, Esq. enjoys helping regular folks get out of treacherous financial agreements. Michael excels at finding the details that matter, which is basically his superpower. This gives him leverage to hold bad actors accountable for their misdeeds.
Michael Smith serves as General Counsel of Stonegate Firm, LLC, where he advises the company on legal and compliance matters. He is also Of Counsel to Stonegate Law, LLC, where he provides limited scope representation to clients who enter into a separate engagement agreement with the law firm.
Much of Michael’s work is spent directly with clients in both the solar and timeshare practice areas.
He conducts scheduled consultations, analyzes each client’s situation, and prepares regulatory complaints when the facts support them.
He is also the attorney clients speak with when they have questions or concerns partway through the process, and he takes that part of the job seriously: explaining what is happening, what comes next, and why.
Michael earned his undergraduate degree from Hiram College and his Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in Ohio (Attorney Registration No. 100754).
Outside the office, Michael is a dedicated reader of fantasy and science fiction.
